Subject	globe_l: Otpor The bread and the cigarettes".

KRAGUJEVAC
 - Students Movement "Otpor" organized the action called "The bread and the
cigarettes". They distributed around 500 loafs of bread with the "Otpor"
insignia - the fist - imprinted and announced that the cigarettes will be
distributed by the "Zastava" factory begin the production of the cigarettes.

One of the "Otpor" activists, Predrag Madzarevic, told the press that
"Otpor" decided to give the bread to those who are hungry, "because the
factory, which was visited today by Serbian prime minister Mirko Marjanovic,
won't pay them the allowances". Shortly before the beginning of the action
while the activists distributed the bread, at the main city square, the
convoy of cars bustled downtown Kragujevac, with the prime minister Mirko
Marjanovic in one of the cars.

Mostly elderly citizens who had taken the bread were rushing to leave the
place. The action went without incidents, although the police was at the
high readiness, because of the Marjanovic visit.
